Machine: Mac Air without touchpad M1 2020
Capturing videos is a helpful skill for project demonstration.
If you’re using a Mac Air M1 2020 without a touchpad, QuickTime comes in handy, and the shortcut to save the video is “Command + Control + Esc”. Macs equipped with a touchpad offer more convenience due to the presence of a stop button.
Afterward, I utilized Canva to design the YouTube thumbnail, adjusting it to the dimensions of 1280 × 720 pixels.
Initially, I struggled to locate the right method for saving videos in QuickTime. I then turned to OBS but found its video quality unsatisfactory. Then I discovered the command to save high-quality videos in QuickTime, resolving my issue.
When I was working at ANU, a colleague was unsure how to record a video. My supervisor kindly suggested using QuickTime, showcasing a helpful and virtuous demeanor. I made a note of it for future reference to save time.
Editing such a short video is still quite a hassle, I can’t help but think:
